The red 9804-01 Magnetic Clip is designed for magnetic fixation of test leads on
ferromagnetic components. It attaches to test leads with 4 mm connectors and allows handsfree positioning on steel enclosures, machine frames or switch cabinets.
The magnetic contact surface has a diameter of 11 mm and features a concave geometry.
This design enables centered positioning on pan head screws or comparable raised
ferromagnetic contact points. Pan head screws up to size M6 provide the most suitable
contact geometry. The magnetic surface is surrounded by an insulating plastic rim that
slightly protrudes beyond the contact area. As a result, no defined electrical contact is
established on flat surfaces.
The magnetic clip complies with CAT IV 1000 V and 2 A. It serves as a mechanical
positioning aid for voltage and insulation measurements and for applications in highresistance ranges. For low-resistance protective conductor testing or precision milliohm
measurements, suitable clamps or probe tips should be used.
The 9804-01 is compatible with test leads from HIOKI and other manufacturers featuring 4
mm safety or standard banana plugs.
