Product information SA9001-01 - Slurry sample container for aqueous slurry measurement

The SA9001-01 is used together with the SA9002 Test Fixture as part of HIOKI’s SA2634- KIT Slurry Analysis System. Each pack contains 50 slurry sample containers (also referred to as electrode cells) for impedance measurement of aqueous (water-based) lithium-ion battery slurries. The gold-plated electrode surfaces provide corrosion-resistant, low-resistance contact optimized for impedance analysis of aqueous slurries.

Aqueous slurries are primarily used in the development and production of anode materials such as graphite or silicon-based composites. Since these systems use water as a solvent instead of N-Methyl-2-Pyrrolidone (NMP), they are environmentally safer and require electrodes that maintain stable electrical properties even in the presence of moisture. Gold plating prevents oxidation and ensures consistent measurement results over repeated use in wet environments.

Each container holds approximately 1 ml of slurry and is intended for single use to avoid cross-contamination between measurements. When mounted in the SA9002 Test Fixture, it defines the electrode geometry and ensures consistent contact conditions for reproducible impedance measurements.

Although part of the SA2634-KIT Slurry Analysis System, the SA9001-01 sample containers can also be purchased separately or used independently with other HIOKI LCR Meters and impedance analyzers in combination with the SA9002 Test Fixture. The containers are optimized for slurry materials; use with other conductive pastes may lead to different contact characteristics and is not covered by HIOKI specifications.
