Detailed Product Overview

The L2141 test leads are designed for precise DC four-terminal resistance measurements with the HIOKI RM3548-50 portable resistance meter. They feature rounded, spring-loaded pogo-pin tips on both leads, providing stable and repeatable contact on metallic surfaces without damaging the material. This makes the L2141 ideal for precision resistance verification on clean or machined parts, such as bonding checks on metallic joints, equipotential verification in aircraft and vehicle maintenance, and inspection of conductive assemblies.

Each lead pair is configured for four-terminal measurements, with separate SOURCE and SENSE lines to minimize the influence of lead resistance and maintain consistent lowresistance readings. The gold-plated pogo-pin tips (Ø 3.55 mm) ensure excellent conductivity and long-term durability, even during frequent measurement cycles. Each tip applies a contact pressure of approximately 1.2 kg at a 4 mm stroke to maintain reliable electrical contact on flat or even surfaces.

The combined cable section allows convenient handling and reduces cable clutter during operation, while the split tip section provides independent positioning of the probes on the measurement surface. With a total length of 3.0 m, the L2141 offers sufficient reach for both benchtop and field applications.

The L2141 is suitable for DC resistance measurements on uncoated and sensitive metal surfaces. For measurements through coatings or oxide layers, the L2142 puncture-pin type leads are recommended. Although originally developed for the HIOKI RM3548-50, the L2141 is also compatible with the earlier RM3548 and other DC four-terminal resistance meters featuring compatible connectors.
